Candidates must be able to prove enthusiasm and commitment to working towards a recognized childcare qualification.
Learning whilst working with a friendly experienced supportive team.
Depending on GCSE results and college decision would determine which childcare certificate is appropriate.
Candidates must be able to match the college criteria to be successful.

Written work must be done during your day off, which is allocated for study time each week.
The successful candidate will be required to work approx 16-30 per week and attend college up to one evening per week/ fornight (at the colleges' discretion).
Opening hours are 7am - 6pm Mon- Fri and hours will be allocated on a weekly basis. The successful applicant must be able to work within these hours, up to 30 hours per week approx. (dependent on public transport)
Experience not required but there must be genuine desire to work with children and to help to contribute to a high standard of quality care and education. Part of the role is to help to maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the setting. The main priority always is the welfare, safety and happiness of the babies and children we care for.
Teamwork is essential to be able to join our professional but friendly team.
The role of an apprentice and qualified nursery nurse can be both physically and mentally demanding, candidates must consider this before applying.
All nursery staff are required to work and present themselves to the highest standard, including work ethic, health and safety and personal hygiene standards.

Any offer of employment would be subject to a satisfactory DBS and two satisfactory references. If you have previously been in employment the first reference must be from your employer (if you have worked in any type of child care facility this must be included in the references) The second reference can be a character reference, but can not be a relative.
