Kilconquhar Castle Estate is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join our maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards and enjoys working in a varied, hands-on role within a beautiful estate setting.
As part of our maintenance team, you will help ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our self-catering villas, hotel accommodation, and wider estate facilities, providing a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for our guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the estate.
- Assist with the upkeep of self-catering villas, hotel rooms, and public areas.
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Maintain external areas and estate facilities as required.
- Support the wider maintenance team with projects and planned works.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards.
About You
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance, facilities, or property maintenance role is preferred.
- Practical skills across a range of maintenance disciplines, including basic plumbing, painting, decorating, and general repairs.
- A proactive approach and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Flexible and dependable, with the ability to work weekends as part of a rota.
- Full UK driving licence required.
