Job Summary
The Hotel Cromwell, located in the heart of Stevenage Old Town, is a busy hotel and popular dining destination. A major part of the hotel operation is our food and beverage offering, renowned for high quality, warm and friendly service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Bar Supervisor who enjoys delivering excellent hospitality and leading by example. Someone who is passionate about guest service, supports and motivates their team, and takes pride in maintaining high standards within a busy bar operation.
What you will be doing:
You will support the day-to-day operation of the hotel bar, ensuring guests receive friendly, professional, and efficient service at all times. You will supervise bar service, assist with staff training and development, support stock control and ordering, manage cash handling procedures, and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
You will work closely with the Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth service delivery, oversee shifts, resolve guest queries, and ensure company standards and licensing requirements are consistently met. You will play a key role in creating a positive atmosphere for guests whilst supporting the wider food and beverage operation, including events and functions.
What you will bring to the team:
You will have previous experience working within a bar, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment, ideally with some supervisory experience. You will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, be confident leading a team, and have the ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
You will be passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and committed to maintaining high standards of service, presentation, and compliance. Knowledge of cellar management, stock control, and licensing regulations would be advantageous.
