North Lincolnshire Council is seeking a reliable and flexible Casual Operations Assistant to support the team at Normanby Hall Country Park during a busy operational period. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working at one of North Lincolnshire's premier visitor attractions, helping to ensure visitors enjoy a safe, welcoming and well-maintained environment.
About the Role
Working as part of the Normanby Hall Operations Team, you will provide practical support across the estate and visitor facilities. The core duties will be assisting with the basic grounds, gardening and site maintenance tasks on the estate and within the deer park. Other duties may include:
- Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the park and visitor attractions.
- Undertaking litter picking and general cleaning duties.
- Helping to maintain high standards across public areas and facilities.
- Assisting with the movement and set-up of equipment and materials.
- Providing excellent customer service to visitors and responding positively to enquiries.
- Supporting the wider operations team as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a positive and flexible approach to work.
- Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Can work effectively as part of a team.
- Is able to undertake physically active duties.
- Has good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Is reliable, punctual and willing to support a range of operational activities.
Previous experience in grounds maintenance would be advantageous but is not essential.
