Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full Time Dog Groomer to join our friendly team. We are looking for a Professional, trained Dog Groomer with at least one year Salon experience who can work as part of a team but also work alone. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the skills necessary to deliver high-quality grooming services. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing professional grooming, ensuring the comfort and safety of each dog, and maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Responsibilities
- Groom dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments according to client specifications and breed standards
- Bathe, dry, brush, trim, and style coats using appropriate tools and techniques
- Assess each dog’s health and behaviour to ensure safe grooming practices
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work area in compliance with hygiene standards
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences, aftercare advice, and any health concerns
- Handle dogs gently yet securely during grooming procedures, ensuring their safety at all times
- Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dog Groomer with a strong portfolio of completed wo
- Excellent animal care skills with patience and compassion for dogs of all temperaments
- Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger or heavier dogs safely
- Organised with attention to detail in both grooming techniques and record keeping
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including Saturday
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in dog grooming are preferred but not essential
