We're a well-established, multi-disciplinary residential and commercial property agency and are proud to be the largest private practice in the region. With continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, we're now looking to appoint an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team.
The Role
You'll be responsible for delivering a broad range of building surveying services across both residential and non-residential property. Typical duties will include (but won't be limited to):
- Acquisition and pre-purchase surveys
- Dilapidations (acting for landlords and/or tenants)
- Defect diagnosis, analysis and reporting
- Repair and maintenance advice
- Planned preventative maintenance programmes
- Preparation of specifications and schedules of work
- Project management and contract administration
- Producing clear, client-ready reports and recommendations
- Liaising with clients, contractors and other professional consultants
What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Experience)
To be considered, you should ideally have:
- MRICS qualification (Chartered status)
- A RICS-accredited degree in Building Surveying (or similar)
- Strong working knowledge of building pathology and construction technology
- Experience producing professional reports (e.g., defects, condition, dilapidations)
- Confidence managing projects and working directly with clients
- A proactive, organised approach and the ability to manage a varied workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
