Job Description:
ALS People are currently seeking a Team Leader in a busy Recycling Facility, for our client based in WANDSWORTH (SW18 POSTCODE AREA), London.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- To lead the team ensuring compliance with material quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Training of staff, PPE issues, and control of machine Isolation for Group cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Ensure the team follow all relevant SOP’s and Training of staff
- Liaise with the Quality Analysis team and support the Supervisor in reacting to the information provided to produce consistently high quality products.
- To work alongside and fill in covering team members where required.
- To comply with all safety instruction and procedures, reporting any unsafe practices, accidents, or incidents.
- Assist in the development of a safety culture at the site.
- You must remain aware at all times of your responsibilities for your own health and Safety, for the Health and Safety of those directly responsible to you, your work colleagues and any others who may be affected by operations under your responsibility or control. You must always ensure that your direct reports apply reasonable levels of safety and that the correct PPE is worn. Please refer to the Health and Safety Policy for further details on your specific responsibilities.

- To undertake all necessary training to increase and improve own skills in the workplace.
JOB PURPOSE
- Working with people, machinery, management, processing and analysis in a busy recycling facility.
- To lead and assist in the day to day operational activities of the site under the instructions of Site Supervisors & on-site account manager.
- Maintaining safety standards and optimal production levels.
- To support the Supervisor in overseeing the team of Operatives working on the production lines.
- To ensure that the site operates within all Health and Safety and Environmental Guidelines, and that maximum recycling efficiency is always achieved.

SHIFT PATTERN:
- Monday to Friday 6am – 2pm (Morning Shift)
- Monday to Friday 2pm – 10pm (Afternoon Shift)
- Saturday 7am – 3pm (2 x per month)
- Overtime available on request.
- 2 weeks rotation
PAY RATE:
- £14.55 /h during training
- £16.62/h after training
