Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Coding Tutor to support students in developing their programming skills. This role involves delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring students to explore the world of coding. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coding, excellent communication skills, and experience working with children or learners with special educational needs. Responsibilities
- Deliver customised coding lessons to primary school students of various skill levels, ensuring clarity and engagement throughout each session
- Assess individual student needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly to maximise learning outcomes
- Provide support and encouragement to build students’ confidence in coding concepts and problem-solving skills
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment that encourages curiosity and perseverance
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student development and areas for improvement
- Stay updated on the latest coding tools, resources, and educational techniques to enhance lesson quality
Experience
- Proven experience in working with technology and knowing your way around a computer
- Experience working with children or learners with special educational needs is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively
- Prior experience in education or training roles that involve working with diverse learner groups is advantageous
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and adapting lessons for different learning styles is preferred
