Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional service to our guests in a dynamic hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting food and beverage operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is advantageous, along with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as required
- Support the set-up and breakdown of dining areas for events or daily service
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and service equipment
- Take orders accurately and handle transactions using the POS system
- Provide information about menu items and accommodate special dietary requirements when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods
- Assist with catering events, including setting up buffets or serving stations
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Barista experience or food preparation skills are a plus
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends or evenings if required
- A genuine interest in the food and beverage industry
