Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Furniture Assembly and Cabinet Maker to join our workshop team.
This is a rare opportunity for a full time hard working, enthusiastic individual to join our small but busy furniture manufacture team!
We are a family run company, manufacturing bespoke freestanding and fitted kitchens and furniture for over the last 25 years.
Full training will be given to the right candidate in all aspects of furniture making.
The job will also include assisting on deliveries of our final products.
The successful candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of furniture and cabinetry according to design specifications.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, chisels, and hammers to perform basic assembly tasks.
- Operate power tools safely for cutting, drilling, and shaping materials.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently during all stages of work.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment.
- Learn about different materials used in furniture making, including timber and MDF.
- Assist in delivering our final products to customers.
Qualifications
- No prior experience necessary; a keen interest in carpentry, joinery, or woodwork is desirable.
- Basic understanding of fabrication or assembly processes is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is beneficial; training will be provided for those new to these tools.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks involving heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
