We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and specialist primary school in Northampton that supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a committed team and take responsibility for a small KS1 class, delivering engaging, personalised learning that enables every child to thrive.
The Role:
- Lead a KS1 class of pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets.
- Create a safe, nurturing and structured classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and senior leaders.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and external professionals.
- Track progress and celebrate every achievement, no matter how small.
The Ideal Candidate :
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with SEND, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- A patient, resilient and compassionate approach.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for inclusive education and helping every child reach their potential.
