Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage / Reception Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and enjoy a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages to guests, ensuring high standards of presentation and quality.
- Support reception /duty manger as and when required
- Support catering operations by setting up and breaking down event spaces as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of food preparation areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and efficient service during peak times.
- Help with inventory management, including stock rotation and reporting any shortages or issues.
- Assist in bartending duties as needed, ensuring compliance with licensing laws and responsible serving practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a catering or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly disposition.
- A passion for hospitality and providing exceptional guest experiences.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Experience in food preparation or bartending is advantageous.
