Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commercial Landscape Gardener to join our team. Duties
- Carry out landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawn mowers safely and efficiently.
- Use hand tools for planting, digging, edging, and general garden upkeep.
- Manage irrigation systems, including installation, repair, and routine maintenance to ensure proper watering schedules.
- Conduct routine maintenance of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscape projects according to client specifications.
- Maintain health and safety standards across all tasks performed on-site.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, irrigation systems, and construction equipment such as excavators.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively.
- Previous experience is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of plant care, soil management, and garden design principles.
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture or landscaping are desirable but not mandatory.
