We are seeking a dedicated Medicines Counter Assistant/Retail Assistant to join our pharmacy team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting with medication sales, and supporting pharmacy operations. Duties
- Assisting customers at the medicines counter with their enquiries and purchases
- selling over-the-counter medications accurately and responsibly
- Supporting pharmacy staff with medication administration and stock management
- Providing advice on minor health concerns and promoting health products
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe retail environment
- Ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and confidentiality standards
- Supporting patient care initiatives by offering friendly and knowledgeable assistance
- Handling transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale system
Skills
- Previous retail experience is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic IT proficiency for managing records and sales transactions
