The Role:
As a Business Development Executive reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and growing a strong sales pipeline, generating new business opportunities, and helping the company consistently achieve its sales targets.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Research new project opportunities, identifying appropriate customers and sites within the target market to generate sufficient leads.
- Proactively cold call by telephone prospective customers to identify key project contacts and decision makers.
- Follow up conversations with timely and professional written communication.
- Build and develop relationships with prospective customers through regular communication and follow-ups.
- Plan visits to prospective projects site.
- Maintain accurate records of the progress of potential project opportunities, customer interactions and key project personnel.
- Progress opportunities through the sales funnel to ultimately obtain new project enquiries in line with targets.
- Liaise with key decision makers post tender submission, liaising with the estimator where necessary, to secure contracted works in line with sales targets.
- Maintain proactive contact with existing customers to strengthen relationships and improve the prospects of further additional sales.
- Follow established sales processes and procedures, ensuring customer information is accurate and all communications are recorded.
About You:
We're looking for someone who is confident, self-motivated, and enjoys speaking with new people.
You'll ideally have:
- A proven track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong computer and administrative skills.
- A proactive, resilient approach and a desire to succeed.
- The motivation to maximise earnings through an uncapped commission structure.
- A full UK driving licence.
What We Offer:
- Competitive basic salary £36,000 pa.
- Uncapped monthly commission with excellent earning potential.
