Looking for a role where you can make a real difference every day?
We’re building a brand-new Care in the Home team in Morpeth and are looking for kind, reliable and compassionate Part-Time Day Support Workers to provide 1:1 support to a friendly and independent gentleman in his 60s.
Living with a spinal cord injury, he enjoys staying active and independent and is a real petrol head, with a passion for motorsport and fishing.
This is more than providing care. It’s about building trust, supporting independence and helping someone continue doing the things they enjoy.
In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs, working regular weekly shifts to build a consistent, trusted care team. While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero-hours contract as care packages can change.
What You’ll Be Doing
Working as part of a dedicated 1:1 team, you’ll provide support with:
- Personal care and hygiene, including bowel management such as digital stimulation and evacuation
- Moving and handling
- Supporting with appointments, outings and activities
- Driving your client to help him get out and about and enjoy his day-to-day life
A full clean UK driving licence is essential. International licences cannot be accepted due to insurance requirements.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is

- A confident communicator and team player
- Available regularly to provide consistency and continuity of care
- Comfortable supporting with personal care and moving and handling
- A full clean UK driving licence holder
Your Working Pattern
Monday–Sunday | 7am–1pm
You’ll work a regular rolling rota, with around 3–4 shifts per week, giving you the opportunity to become a familiar and trusted member of the care team.
The role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, with regular shifts available.
