Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team Tuesday to Saturday. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role requires excellent driving skills, organisation, and communication abilities to ensure timely deliveries and high customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, to deliver parcels and goods to various locations.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Handle goods with care, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring items are secure during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any faults promptly.
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including delivery logs and mileage records.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred.
- Commercial driving experience, including handling of larger vehicles such as vans or lorries, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required during deliveries or pickups.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
