Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part Time School Cleaner to join our team at our site in Newcastle Under Lyme (ST5) . This role involves maintaining a clean and safe environment within school premises, ensuring that facilities are hygienic and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in school cleaning or janitorial services and take pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks across various school areas, including classrooms, hallways, toilets, and communal spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain a hygienic environment
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly to uphold health standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during cleaning procedures
- Ensure cleaning equipment is used correctly and stored securely after use
Experience
- Previous experience in school cleaning or janitorial services is essential
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Reliability and punctuality are key qualities for this role
- You MUST have a clean, valid Enhanced DBS
- You MUST have the Right to Work in the UK
Daily shifts: Monday - Friday 15:30-18:30, 43 weeks pro rata
