Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to fabricate and assemble various wooden structures and fittings. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble woodwork, including bespoke doors, windows, and stairs
- Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to project specifications.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters , to complete projects efficiently.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for the transportation of materials and installation of fixtures.
- Carry out painting and finishing tasks on completed joinery work.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Skills
- Proficient in joinery techniques with a solid understanding of carpentry principles.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Experience with woodworking machinery
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality finishes on all projects.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
