Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, and other consumables to ensure availability at all times
- Dispose of waste responsibly by emptying trash bins and recycling containers regularly
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for everyone on campus
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to designated personnel promptly for swift resolution
- Adhere to cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure all areas are consistently maintained to high standards
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and steam cleaners is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices
- Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
