You'll be supporting two friendly and independent women who share a home in a quiet area of Hough Green, Widnes. They are proud of the lives they've built and enjoy being active members of their local community, with plenty of shops, cafés, community facilities and transport links right on their doorstep.
Life is all about getting out and about, trying new things and making the most of every day. Whether that's meeting for coffee, heading out for lunch, taking a walk through the local park, enjoying a game of bingo, attending a disco, or visiting nearby towns such as Warrington, Liverpool or St Helens, they enjoy staying connected and making new memories.
They live in a welcoming three-bedroom semi-detached house with a large garden and patio area, perfect for enjoying the warmer weather. Inside, there are comfortable communal spaces where people relax, chat, cook together and plan their next adventures.
Both ladies are very independent and like to make their own choices, but they benefit from encouragement and gentle prompting with aspects of daily living. They especially value support workers who are proactive, patient and enthusiastic about helping them explore new opportunities and experiences.
This is a role that focuses on building relationships, promoting independence and helping people live fulfilling lives. Good communication skills are essential, as the people you support enjoy conversation and appreciate colleagues who listen carefully, communicate clearly and take the time to understand them.
