Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong hand soldering skills and experience of working in an electronic environment. This role involves assembling various components and ensuring that products meet quality standards before they are dispatched. Duties
- Perform precise hand soldering of through-hole and surface-mount components on PCBs.
- Assemble electronic components, cables, and sub-assemblies according to technical drawings and work instructions.
- Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and deadlines.
- Report any issues or discrepancies in the assembly process to your supervisor promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proven experience in hand soldering (SMT)
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Good understanding of electronic components and PCB assembly.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- IPC certification is a plus (but not essential)
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn new techniques and processes.
