Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler to join a residential site in Salisbury. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers to lift, move, and place materials on construction sites or industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate telehandlers to transport materials and equipment around the site.
- Load and unload materials from lorries and other vehicles.
- Ensure that all lifting operations are conducted safely and in accordance with industry regulations.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on the telehandler to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations on site.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Assist with other machinery operations as required, including excavators.
Qualifications
- Blue CPCS or NPORS with CSCS logo.
- 3-point PPE.
- Proven experience operating telehandlers or similar machinery.
- Valid commercial driving licence is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
- Experience operating excavators is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
