Ready to take the next step in your HR career and make a visible difference every day? Join OV as our HR Officer and help create a positive, well-supported employee experience across our multiple sites here in the UK and the wider business.
Who we are
OV is a growing food ingredients business, specialising in sweet ingredients, confectionery inclusions, decorations and chocolate products for UK and international customers in the B2B and retail sectors.
Part of Orkla Food Ingredients, we combine the support of an international group with the pace and practicality of a focused UK business.
The opportunity
We are looking for a supportive, organised and proactive HR Officer to join our team in Tenbury Wells. Working closely with the People & Culture Director, you will provide hands-on support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, absence management, training, HR administration, compliance and people projects.
This is a great opportunity for an HR Officer, HR Administrator or experienced HR Assistant who is ready to broaden their generalist HR experience within a growing food manufacturing and ingredients business.
You will be close to the day-to-day running of the business, building strong working relationships with managers and colleagues while helping shape how HR supports our people and teams as OV continues to grow.
The role would suit someone who brings confidence and care to people matters, enjoys variety, and takes pride in delivering a professional, responsive and approachable HR service.
What you’ll get involved in
You will be a trusted first point of support for managers and colleagues, helping with HR queries, employee relations matters, recruitment, onboarding, HR policies, contracts, right to work checks, references and new starter processes.
You will help keep key employee lifecycle processes running smoothly, including induction, probation, absence management, appraisal administration, training coordination, HR system updates, payroll changes and confidential employee records.
You will support compliance and audit readiness by maintaining accurate HR records, training information, skills matrices, GDPR requirements, health and safety documentation and wider regulatory standards.
You will also contribute to People & Culture projects that improve processes, strengthen communication, support engagement and help our teams feel connected as OV continues to grow.
What you’ll bring
You will bring experience from a generalist HR or HR administration role and be comfortable supporting managers and colleagues with a range of people matters. You will be organised, accurate and able to handle confidential information with care and discretion.
CIPD Level 3, or equivalent HR experience, would be beneficial. Experience in recruitment, onboarding, absence management, employee relations administration, HR systems, training coordination or audit support would also be useful.
Most importantly, you will be approachable, proactive and values-led, with strong communication skills and a practical, supportive style. You will enjoy working as part of a collaborative team where no two days are the same and your contribution will be noticed.
What’s in it for you
In return, you will have the opportunity to broaden your HR experience, work closely with experienced leaders and develop your generalist skills in a varied, hands-on role.
We offer 25 days’ holiday plus public holidays, a supportive working environment and the chance to contribute to a growing business where people and culture matter.
