Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires good attention to detail with some physical strength.
You will work in a relaxed environment in Milngavie where we set daily goals of packing and there is flexibility as to when you take breaks and lunch. Company pension will also be included.
Typical working days will be Wednesday - Thursday although occasionally there may be more work as some weeks may be busier than others. As we grow in capacity there will be the opportunity for more regular hours.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack products according to order specifications.
- Assist with unloading, shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition.
- Handle materials safely, including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all packed items meet company standards.
- Perform heavy lifting as required (15kg max), ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, promoting safety and efficiency.
Skills
- No experience required but some experience will be looked upon favourably.
- Attention to detail for effective quality control measures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (15kg max) at times throughout the shift
