Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support the implementation of individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record patients’ health conditions and report any concerns promptly
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a respectful and caring environment
- Assist with medication administration as per care plans and training
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
- Support with light domestic tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care delivery
- Drive or accompany patients to appointments or activities when required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in following care plans
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving home visits or patient transportation
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards patients
- Ability to adapt to different environments and handle sensitive situations professionally
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.82-£13.35 per hour
