As an Operations Intern, you will support the Operations team in ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of student accommodation residences. This internship provides hands-on experience within a fast-paced operational environment, allowing you to develop practical skills in student services, residence operations, facilities coordination, administration, and customer support.
You will work closely with the Operations team to support resident check-ins and check-outs, maintain accurate records, coordinate maintenance requests, and contribute to delivering an excellent student living experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and execution of student check-in and check-out processes.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork, tenancy documentation, and records are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide orientations and residence tours for new residents, introducing them to facilities, services, and community guidelines.
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for all residents.
- Address resident enquiries and concerns professionally, escalating matters where appropriate.
- Support the day-to-day operations of student residences to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Conduct room inspections before arrivals and after departures to assess room condition and identify any maintenance or housekeeping requirements.
- Assist in monitoring occupancy levels and maintaining accurate accommodation records.
- Support the implementation of operational procedures and residence standards.
- Coordinate maintenance, cleaning, and repair requests with the Facilities and Housekeeping teams.
- Monitor the progress of maintenance works and follow up to ensure timely completion.
- Report health, safety, maintenance, or operational issues to the appropriate teams.
- Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance logs and incident records.
- Maintain accurate records relating to occupancy, maintenance activities, resident communications, and incident reporting.
- Prepare regular reports on occupancy rates, maintenance issues, and resident feedback.
- Support the Operations team with general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, document management, and reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of operational documentation and correspondence.
- Support the Operations team with operational improvement initiatives and special projects.
- Contribute to ad-hoc operational tasks and projects as required by the business.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments to support operational objectives.
- Be available to work weekends and evening shifts when required to support operational demands and peak periods.

Requirements
