Warehouse & Process Operative - Monday to Friday (no weekends) - 8am-5pm - Denaby Lane Industrial Estate, Doncaster.
OQEMA are one of the leading chemical distribution companies for commodities and specialities within Europe and we are currently looking for an experienced Warehouse & Process Operative to join our warehouse team based in Denaby, Doncaster on a full time basis.
Working within the chemical distribution industry, we are looking for candidates who have a current counterbalance FLT Licence and REACH licence. This role has a physical requirement to be able to move 25kg by hand multiple times due to re packing expectations.
As we are a chemical distributor there is an expectation to work around chemicals in a production capacity so attention to detail and confidence is vital.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Production & Processing
· Operate chemical processing and blending equipment in line with batch instructions and safety protocols.
· Use automated drum and IBC filling lines, ensuring accuracy and cleanliness.
· Carry out product sampling, laboratory submissions, and accurate material bookings.
· Manage raw material transfers including ISO tanks and road tanker operations (loading/unloading).
· Complete first-line maintenance tasks and support root cause analysis during equipment breakdowns.
· Achieve daily workload plans and report deviations or delays.
Warehouse & Materials Handling
· Load and unload road tankers, vehicles, and containers using forklift trucks where necessary.
· Operate barcode scanners and systems (such as SAP) for inventory management and batch traceability.
· Support warehouse operations including goods receipt, stock rotation, and picking/packing duties.
· Use counterbalance forklift trucks (licence required); reach truck licence desirable.
Safety & Compliance
· Work to strict COMAH, COSHH, and internal HSE standards.
· Participate in Near Miss reporting and hazard identification.
· Demonstrate a proactive safety attitude including "Clean as You Go" and 5S workplace practices.
· Use appropriate PPE and RPE as required.
· Contribute to toolbox talks, safety briefings, and audits.
