Overview
Enverse is building the next generation of industrial energy optimisation using IoT and AI. We are seeking a high-ownership Business Development Manager to help expand our presence across manufacturing and energy-intensive sectors and convert qualified opportunities into revenue.
This is a hands-on technical business development role focused on opening doors, building credibility, and progressing opportunities into funded projects and commercial deployments.
You will work directly with the CEO and operate at the intersection of product, customer need, and revenue growth.
This role suits someone comfortable with pace, accountability, and measurable commercial outcomes.
Location: London for at least the first 6 months (minimum 3 days/week on-site or with customers)
Primary KPIs: qualified pipeline, deal velocity, and revenue impact
Responsibilities
- Build targeted outbound campaigns into manufacturing and energy-intensive sectors
- Generate and qualify leads through networking, outreach, and industry engagement
- Lead technical discovery conversations with customer engineering stakeholders
- Identify energy optimisation opportunities across industrial facilities
- Propose digital or optimisation solutions across different industrial facilities for funded or paid projects.
- Develop clear technical-commercial proposals demonstrating customer ROI
- Support Innovate UK and other funded project submissions
- Maintain accurate CRM pipeline, notes, and opportunity tracking
- Drive consistent follow-up to progress opportunities toward commercial close
Qualifications
Essential
- Degree in Mechanical, Energy or Electrical Engineering
- 3–7 years’ experience in technical B2B, energy, industrial, or IoT environments
- Strong grounding in industrial energy systems (e.g., heat, HVAC, compressed air)
- Proven ability to engage technical stakeholders credibly
- Experience preparing technical or commercial proposals
- Highly numerate; strong Excel or Google Sheets capability
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication
- Willingness to travel to industrial sites
- Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)
Strong Advantage
- Experience in energy efficiency or industrial decarbonisation
- Experience in industrial system integration
- Exposure to IoT, energy monitoring, or analytics platforms
- Track record of outbound-driven opportunity creation
