Action Ability Belfast aims to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities into the local community and support the development of their natural abilities.
Summary of Post
This post is funded through the Northern Ireland Housing Executive – Supporting People Programme.
Floating Support services are delivered on an outreach basis and provided to people with disabilities, primarily in their own homes. The service aims to support independent living across North and West Belfast, including the Shankill area.
This post is subject to an Access NI Enhanced Check with Barred List.
Main Responsibilities
- Support independent living by enabling people to maintain their current accommodation or identify and secure more appropriate accommodation where required.
- Assist service users to maintain the safety and security of their accommodation.
- Provide advice on available housing options, including home adaptations.
- Support compliance with licence and tenancy agreements, including matters relating to anti-social behaviour, disputes, and maintenance.
- Provide support with finances, benefit claims, budgeting, and debt management.
