Breakfast Chef, London
Zeta Thomas Collective are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Breakfast Chef to join the breakfast and lunch team at their busy London site. This is an immediate start, Monday, for a breakfast chef who thrives on a fast-paced, high-volume breakfast and lunch service and takes pride in consistency, quality and pace.
Pay: £17 per hour Hours: 7am to 4pm, 45 hours per week (covering breakfast and lunch service) Contract: 3-month casual contract, with strong potential to go permanent Start: Monday
This is a flexible, casual contract to start, with real scope to move to a permanent position for the right person. This is a genuine team environment, and everyone mucks in and stays until the section is cleared down, no one clocks off and leaves the rest of the team to it. What We Need From This Breakfast Chef
- Solid experience running a busy breakfast and lunch service, so you know how to keep quality high when the tickets are flying.
- Confidence across a breakfast and lunch menu: eggs cooked to order, quick-fire breakfast plates, and lunch dishes that need to land fast and look sharp every time.
- A calm, organised approach on the section, no big egos, just steady hands and good pace.
- A real team player, happy to stay and help clear down until the section is properly done, not just your own station.
- Good food hygiene practices and a genuine pride in section cleanliness and mise en place.
- Someone who can slot into a fast-moving breakfast and lunch kitchen and hit the ground running from day one.

- Running your section confidently through a high-volume breakfast and lunch service.
- Maintaining consistency and plating standards throughout breakfast and lunch service.
- Keeping mise en place tight and your section clean and organised.
- Staying until full clear-down and supporting the wider team to close out properly.
- Working closely with the rest of the kitchen team to keep breakfast and lunch service flowing smoothly.
