£12.71 Per Hour
The Forge Care Centre is a 76 Bedded Dementia Nursing Home that serves the local area of Ely and the surrounding area of Cardiff. Over four floors our dedicated team of nurses and care staff provided care and treatment for very vulnerable elderly people. We require full-time ancillary staff to support the home in both the housekeeping department and the very busy kitchen area. The roles are separate.
A preference will be given to those who are experienced in either of these areas and who currently work in the same or similar provision / qualifications.

· Responsible to clean all resident areas on the assigned floor to a clinically high standard
· Follow a strict regime and timetable of cleaning and decontamination duties
· Carry out daily deep cleans of bedrooms which requires relevant signed paperwork
· Taking delivery of stock and storing items appropriately
· Fully compliant and knowledgeable of COSHH in all areas practice
· Liaise with the nurse and team leaders to facilitate good levels of communication
· Undergo all necessary training including Manual Handling, Fire Prevention, Health and Safety and Safeguarding Adults
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning roles is highly desirable
- Experience working in hospital environments or healthcare facilities is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures is preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following detailed instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts
Kitchen Duties and Specification:
· Work closely with the Chef in charge on each shift
· Assist in food preparation beverage and light snacks
· Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and all equipment
· Operate machinery such as the industrial dishwasher in a safe manner
· Monitor Refrigeration and record temperatures
· Report issues to the correct department
· Undertake relevant training to support the role
