Duties
- Assist with daily animal care routines, including feeding, watering, and cleaning stalls to ensure healthy livestock conditions
- Support maintenance and repair of farm equipment using hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical knowledge
- Help with irrigation systems setup and troubleshooting to maintain optimal water distribution for crops and pastures
- Perform general farm upkeep such as fencing repairs, equipment cleaning, and facility sanitation
- Participate in horticultural activities like planting, watering, and caring for crops or forage plants
- Aid in heavy lifting tasks involving feed bags, livestock supplies, or equipment parts while adhering to safety protocols
- Support team members with routine inspections and minor repairs to ensure smooth farm operations
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, horticulture practices, or animal care is a plus but not required—training will be provided
- Strong attention to detail with good basic math skills for measurements and record keeping
- Willingness to learn about equipment repair, maintenance procedures, and farm safety standards
- Prior experience with heavy machinery or farm work is advantageous but not mandatory
- A positive attitude combined with enthusiasm for working outdoors in various weather conditions
