We are recruiting Front of House Team Members for Maccaruna, our exciting pasta, gelato and coffee concept.
This is a hands-on, customer-focused position. You will prepare and serve fresh pasta dishes, authentic Italian gelato and high-quality coffee while ensuring every customer receives friendly, efficient and knowledgeable service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome every customer warmly and provide excellent service throughout their visit.
- Prepare and serve fresh pasta dishes consistently and according to our recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards.
- Scoop and serve authentic Italian gelato, providing samples and helping customers choose flavours.
- Prepare and serve coffees and other hot and cold drinks to a high standard.
- Take orders accurately and operate the till.
- Develop strong product knowledge and confidently recommend dishes, gelato flavours, drinks and additional items.
- Check that customers are satisfied with their food and overall experience.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and report low-stock items promptly.
- Set, clear and clean tables and customer areas.
- Wash and correctly store equipment, utensils, crockery and glassware.
- Keep all front-of-house, food preparation, counter, storage and toilet areas clean, tidy and well organised.
- Follow all food safety, allergen, health and safety, cleanliness and hygiene procedures.
- Complete opening, closing and cleaning duties to the required standard.
- Report any operational, equipment or customer issues promptly to the shift leader or manager.
- Complete all required training and respond positively to new procedures and ways of working.
- Work with care, professionalism, loyalty and the level of skill reasonably expected within the role.
- Carry out other reasonable duties within your capabilities when required.
