About us
Box of Hugs London is a small, family-run online gifting business owned by three sisters. We create beautifully presented gift boxes that help people send a hug when they can’t be there in person.
Every gift is hand-packed in our warehouse with care and attention to detail. We also fulfil larger corporate gifting orders for companies across the UK.
The role
We’re looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our friendly warehouse team.
This is a varied, hands-on role mainly involving picking, packing and preparing gift boxes for dispatch. You’ll also help with stock, deliveries, warehouse organisation and occasional customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Picking and beautifully packing customers’ gift orders
- Printing orders, gift messages and postage labels
- Carefully checking products, cards and messages before dispatch
- Unpacking deliveries, replenishing shelves and organising stock
- Monitoring stock levels, best-before dates and food rotation
- Preparing packaging and stock for busy periods and corporate orders
- Responding to occasional customer enquiries by email or phone
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
- Helping wherever needed as part of a small team
About you
Previous warehouse experience isn’t essential, as full training will be provided. We’re more interested in finding someone with the right attitude.
You’ll need to be:
- Reliable, hardworking and happy to get stuck in
- Quick and efficient while maintaining excellent accuracy
- Extremely organised, proactive and comfortable working in a busy environment
- A friendly and supportive team player
- Confident using a computer and learning new systems
- Very good understanding of English language both in writing and over the phone
- Someone with an excellent eye for presentation
Important information
This is a physical role involving standing for much of the day, bending, lifting boxes, unpacking deliveries and moving stock.
The warehouse can be cold during winter, and peak periods-particularly Christmas-are extremely busy. You’ll need to be comfortable working at pace while maintaining our high standards.
If you’re practical, super organised and friendly and enjoy being busy as part of a close-knit team, we’d love to hear from you.
Please submit your CV together with a short coveringnote explaining why you would like to join Box of Hugs London and what qualities you could bring to this role.
