The Role
As a Transport Vessel Technician, you'll be responsible for the inspection, repair, maintenance and statutory preparation of transport vessels used for carrying hazardous chemicals, gases and powders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Inspection and repair of ADR road tankers and ISO tanks.
- Preparation of vessels for statutory ADR inspections and testing.
- Pressure testing, leak testing and commissioning.
- Inspection and overhaul of valves, pipework, pressure relief devices and associated equipment.
- Mechanical fault finding and repair.
- Working to ADR regulations, industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Producing accurate inspection and maintenance documentation.
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Experience We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from engineers with experience in areas such as:
- Pressure vessel maintenance.
- ADR tankers.
- ISO tank maintenance.
- Chemical road tankers.
- Gas road tankers.
- Industrial mechanical engineering.
- Petrochemical or process industries.
- Cryogenic equipment.
- Heavy engineering or specialist mechanical maintenance.
Highly Desirable Experience
- High-pressure transport vessels, particularly T50 ISO tanks.
- Gas tanker inspection and repair.
- Cryogenic tank systems and equipment.
- Pressure relief valves and safety systems.
- Stainless steel fabrication and pipework.
- Pressure testing and leak detection.
- Welding or coded welding (advantageous but not essential).
