Britestart Facilities are recruiting for a motivated and independent individual to become the cleaning operative for the BMW Sytner workshop.
Hours for this role are : 17.5 hours per week - 3.5 hours a day ideally 2-5:30pm
Typical job responsibilities include:
- Cleaning workshop floors, work areas and walkways.
- Sweeping, mopping and removing dirt, oil and grease.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely.
- Cleaning toilets, staff rooms, offices and break areas.
- Wiping down work surfaces, doors, windows and equipment.
- Cleaning oil and fluid spills promptly and safely.
- Keeping cleaning supplies organised and reporting when stock is low.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures.
- Wearing appropriate PPE when required.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe environment for mechanics and customers.
- Reporting damaged equipment, hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Occasionally helping with general housekeeping around the workshop and customer areas.
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety protocols
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Reliable with excellent time management skills and punctuality
