Join our dynamic security team as a Security, Search & Patrol Officer and become the frontline guardian of our premises! In this vital role, you will actively patrol designated areas, monitor security systems, and ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and assets. Your keen eye for detail and proactive approach will help prevent loss, detect suspicious activity, and respond swiftly to incidents. Duties
- Staff and contractor searching in accordance with agreed site procedures.
- Bag and property searches where authorised. Access-control duties. Internal and external security patrols. Perimeter checks.
- Checking doors, gates and restricted areas.
- Monitoring fire exits and emergency routes.
- Reporting suspicious activity. Identifying security vulnerabilities.
- Asset protection.
- Supporting loss-prevention procedures.
- Responding to alarms and security incidents.
- Supporting the Front of House and Gatehouse Officers.
- Recording incidents and patrol activity.
- Escalating health, safety and security concerns.
- Assisting management during emergencies and evacuations.

Skills
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious behavior or security threats
- Experience with CCTV monitoring and surveillance techniques
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and search procedures
- Ability to remain calm and effective during emergency situations or conflicts
- Basic first aid certification to provide immediate assistance when needed
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and visitors
- Physical fitness to perform patrols, searches, and respond quickly in various situations

Searching will always be undertaken professionally, consistently and in accordance with the client’s agreed search policy and K4 operating procedures. Regular patrols will provide a visible security presence while allowing emerging risks, defects or unusual activity to be identified and reported at an early stage
Pay: £13.00-£13.45 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 45.0 per week
