Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle equipped with a tipping mechanism, delivering construction materials, aggregates, or other bulk goods to various sites. Your energetic approach and commitment to safety will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle with a tipping mechanism, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards
- Load and unload materials efficiently, ensuring correct placement and securement of loads
- Deliver goods to multiple sites accurately and on schedule, maintaining professional communication with clients and site personnel
- Maintain detailed delivery logs, mileage records, and vehicle documentation in accordance with company policies
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe tipping practices and hazard awareness during deliveries
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
Experience
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver, preferably with tipper or flatbed vehicles
- Familiarity with driving regulations related to heavy goods vehicles and transportation safety standards
- Experience in delivering construction materials or bulk goods is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of vehicle loading, securing loads, and safe tipping procedures
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan efficient routes for timely deliveries
