Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating excavators safely and efficiently on various projects, ensuring the smooth progression of site activities. Duties
- Operate excavators to perform digging, trenching, lifting, and material handling tasks in accordance with project specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on excavator equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, and excavation activities as directed by supervisors.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently across the construction site.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience operating excavators in a construction or similar environment.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance.
- Valid commercial driving licence with experience in operating large plant machinery or lorries is preferred.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to construction sites.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
