Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries across designated areas.
- Load and unload packages, including heavy lifting when necessary, with attention to safety protocols.
- Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, providing excellent service and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
- Follow safety procedures at all times to ensure personal and team safety during deliveries.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to navigate using GPS devices or maps efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
- Physical ability to lift packages of varying weights and stand for extended periods.
