Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including <PERSON> drivers and heavy-duty trucks, to complete scheduled deliveries during night shifts
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo with care, utilizing proper lifting techniques for heavy items to prevent injury
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers and team members to coordinate routes, delivery times, and any unforeseen issues
- Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols diligently while navigating urban and rural routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and vehicle documentation for compliance purposes
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as fueling, basic repairs, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver, preferably with night shift work
- Skilled in driving various types of vehicles, including <PERSON> drivers and heavy trucks
- Demonstrated ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for vehicle maintenance
- Prior experience in delivery operations or logistics is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment
