Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager specialising in Mobile Automotive and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) systems. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of our mobile service units, ensuring efficient delivery of automotive repair and maintenance services.
This role requires strong organisational skills, technical expertise, and leadership qualities to manage a team and coordinate service schedules effectively. The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of service quality whilst ensuring safety and compliance across all operations.
Due to the nature of this role, please only apply if you have extensive mechanical knowledge and understanding in DPF systems as managerial experience alone is not sufficient for this role.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the scheduling, dispatching, and coordination of mobile automotive service units to meet client demands efficiently.
- Supervise and support a team of technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment utilised in mobile services, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Maintain inventory levels of parts, tools, and consumables necessary for daily operations.
- Implement continuous process improvements to enhance service delivery, reduce downtime, and optimise productivity.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Liaise with clients to address concerns, provide updates on service progress, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage documentation related to maintenance records, service reports, and operational logs accurately.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair or related technical fields with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with previous managerial or supervisory experience in a mobile or workshop environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members, clients, and suppliers effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to automotive diagnostics, repairs, and DPF systems is essential.
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating company vehicles; experience with fleet management is advantageous.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities whilst maintaining high standards of quality and safety

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
