Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products
- Provide detailed product information and answer customer queries effectively
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring stock is well-presented
- Upsell products to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, including processing payments and issuing receipts
- Maintain a clean and organised sales floor, ensuring products are properly stocked and labelled
- Manage customer enquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks as required
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth store operations
Experience
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Organisation and time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during shifts
- Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining excellent customer relationships
- Familiarity with merchandising principles to enhance product presentation and store layout
