Triumph Consultants are looking for a
Planning Technician to validate and register planning applications, answer technical enquiries and support the Planning and Building Control service. The contract is for
3 months in
Walsall WS1 1TP.
Planning Technician
Pay Rate: £18.20 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 37, Monday-Friday, standard working hours
Contract length: 3 months
Location: Walsall WS1 1TP
Hybrid - 1 day per week on site, Tuesday
Key requirements:
- NVQ Level 3, A Levels or equivalent, or relevant experience in planning or Local Land Charges.
- Knowledge of planning functions and legislation, with the ability to interpret and measure technical plans and reports accurately.
- Strong IT, GIS, organisational and customer service skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines independently.
Key responsibilities
- Validate and register planning applications, including complex majors, checking fees, constraints, consultations and submission requirements.
- Maintain planning and GIS records, advise applicants, process appeals and conditions, and support site visits, Local Land Charges and Planning Committee work.
