A Claims Handler must process elements of a claim from receipt of a new claim through to Invoicing whilst providing the highest standards of quality and customer service. They must also represent the Company in both verbal and written interactions between clients, policy holders and suppliers. A large proportion of this contact is via telephone communication. A Claims Handler must also ensure that the claim file data is kept up to date and accurate through the Claims Management System.
Key Accountabilities
- To efficiently and accurately process new claims on behalf of the Companys clients confidently representing the interface between the customer and the Company
- To assess and convert claims into repair, these could also include credit hire, credit repair leads that successfully pass the system based underwriting criteria
- To ensure successfully converted claims are in line with current processes and compliance requirements

Ensure profit is maximised through the management of service providers.

To liaise with customers, repairers and others as needed to maintain contact and resolve any issues arising

Achieve monthly targets including KPI and objectives as communicated by the Team Leader

To answer queries of the claims handling process swiftly, professionally and efficiently
- At all times to promote the corporate image of S&G and S&Gs clients through the provision of the highest level of service quality
- To liaise with other departments and employees as appropriate to minimise the inconvenience to the customer and maximise the efficiency of the claims procedure
