Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our busy production team. The ideal candidate will support the smooth operation of our kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with basic food preparation, and ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards. Duties
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by senior kitchen staff.
- Support the organisation and storage of ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient workflow.
- Help with dishwashing duties, ensuring all equipment is clean and ready for use.
- Maintain cleanliness in communal areas such as the office and staff facilities.
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with basic production tasks or restocking supplies as needed.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
- Completing paperwork in relation to the company's food accreditation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food preparation, baking, or culinary practices is advantageous.
- Experience in working within a busy kitchen environment is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within the food manufacturing sector.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues. Hours
- Monday - Friday, 8am-4.30pm
- Overtime available May-July and October-December
