Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sunday Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with the ability to oversee meal service on Sundays. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Supervise kitchen staff during Sunday service, providing leadership and guidance
- Manage food production processes to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations and standards
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere
- Ensure all food served meets presentation standards and customer expectations
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Supervising experience in a culinary environment is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Experience in food production, restaurant service, or catering is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Familiarity with hospitality standards and customer service excellence
