As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:
Access Control
Video Surveillance
Intruder Alarms
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and learning new technical skills in various environments.
A full UK driving license is a firm requirement for this role - please only apply if you have a driving license
Previous electrical experience would be a bonus
Able to pass an enhanced DBS background check
You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team meeting tight deadlines.
You should be committed to developing new skills and gaining knowledge of the fire and security industry.
Physically fit, and comfortable working at high and low heights
Willingness to learn and a genuine interest in learning more about the wider fire and security industry
Able to work in a team as well as motivated to work alone when required
The ideal candidate will need the confidence to deal with clients in a professional manner, be reliable, adaptable, conscientious and able to follow instructions.

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.
You’ll train through block release at our Walsall/Warrington centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).
You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
