Atlantic Lodge is seeking a Bank Night Key Worker to support young people aged 16–18 in developing their independent living skills. This role involves working overnight shifts and providing structured support to young people from diverse and sometimes challenging backgrounds.
Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or be willing to work towards achieving this qualification. A positive, resilient, and supportive approach is essential.
Role Overview
The Key Worker provides a range of practical and emotional support to help young people build confidence and prepare for independent living. This includes assisting with life skills, education, and community engagement to ensure residents are equipped to manage future challenges successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one keywork sessions
- Plan and facilitate both group and individual activities to support development
- Provide weekly or monthly updates to the young person’s Social Worker
- Work collaboratively with Social Workers and Personal Advisors
- Report maintenance concerns promptly
- Ensure all visitors sign in and out of the property
- Conduct daily room checks to maintain health and safety standards
- Monitor CCTV systems regularly
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all records and documentation
- Ensure keys are stored securely
- Adhere to all Atlantic Lodge policies and procedures at all times
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
- Ability to work effectively with young people from varied and challenging backgrounds
- Right to work in the United Kingdom (preferred)
- Ability to reliably commute to Enfield or relocate prior to starting
